Artist's Comments

Illuster, a 16 year old Grand Prix dressage horse.

Done with graphite pencils (mostly 8B) and mechanical HB pencil, 0,5 and 0,3.
Worked a lot with paper blender, cotton buds and cotton earsticks :)

Props voor Lindz!

You've really done a good job on this fellow. He's got that long, roman nose that's just... ummm... hmmm. Well, anyway, you've shortened it just enough that it still looks like him but it's flattering and appealing at the same time. I would have said it couldn't be done! Very, very nice job. I'm sure his owner will be thrilled.
:iconnaps:
hehe I hope so :)

Maybe his nose could be a little longer, but I think his owner will be satisfied :)

No no no no, you did *perfect*. The poor guy has a rather unsightly face, and you made it appealing and pretty. Very, very well done.

Thank you thank you :D

Excellent job on the shading, Lindsey.

I particularly like the area around the eye, which you've captured the luster in beautifully. The great amount of detail that you have included goes a long way towards establishing textures; the difference in the "feel" of the leather as opposed to the skin of the horse. And the little chin whiskers! Nice touch.

The fade on the neck works very well, too. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to see what you will be submitting in the future. :D
